NOTE: This is an active trip, however, there will be two options for levels of hikes. One being easier and one more strenuous. 

 

There will be two scheduled group transfers at the beginning and end of the tour, one from Las Vegas airport and one from St. George airport. If your flight does not fit with the schedule transfers, we will be happy to book a private transfer at an additional cost.

Day 1 - Overnight at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort - D

Upon arrival at either Las Vegas or St. George airport, you'll be transferred as a group to Zion Ponderosa Ranch where we’ll check into our private vacation house. Schedule permitting, we’ll get our first taste of the park with a sunset horseback ride in the evening before having dinner at our vacation house.

Day 2 - Overnight at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort - B, L

After breakfast, we’ll head into Zion National Park to go hiking. We’ll offer two levels of hikes, one shorter and less strenuous and one for the more adventurous. During the hike we’ll stop for a picnic lunch while enjoying the amazing views that Zion offers. After our first day in the park, we'll return to the ranch where you may choose to try the climbing wall, zip line or one of the many other activities at the ranch (extra fee) or relax by the pool. (We will enjoy the sunset horseback ride on this evening if schedule did not allow it for arrival day.) After free time for dinner we’ll meet by the campfire for s’mores.

Day 3 - Overnight at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort - B, D

After breakfast, we’ll head back into the park for an exciting Jeep tour. We’ll see a different side of the park as we travel along the top. We’ll be in awe of the amazing views both of the park and surrounding area. After our jeep tour we’ll have some free time at the ranch or you may choose to go on an additional hike. In the evening it’s time to be a part of the true American western experience as we participate in a wagon ride and Dutch oven dinner. It will be a great way to end our time in Zion National Park.

 

Day 4 - Overnight Austin’s Chuckwagon Lodge, Torrey - B, D 

After breakfast and checking out, we’ll make our way toward Capitol Reef National Park. We’ll stop along the way to visit Dixie National Forest, the largest national forest in Utah, where hopefully we’ll be treated to some amazing fall color.  We’ll stop for lunch before continuing to Torrey where we’ll be staying for the next two nights. After checking into our hotel you’ll have some free time to explore Torrey before meeting back up for dinner at one of the local restaurants.

 

Day 5 - Overnight Austin’s Chuckwagon Lodge, Torrey - B, L

After breakfast we’ll grab our picnic lunch and head to Capitol Reef National Park with its layers of golden sandstone, canyons and striking rock formations. Today you have the choice of either hiking or going on a Jeep Photo tour. After your hike or Jeep tour, we’ll enjoy some scenic driving through the park with stops along the way for photo ops. After spending the day in the park, we’ll return to Torrey where you’ll have the evening free to explore the town. 

 

Day 6 - Overnight Bryce, TBD - B, L

After breakfast and checking out we’ll work our way to Bryce Canyon National Park via the gorgeous highway 12, known as “A Journey Through Time Scenic Byway.”  We’ll experience the Hogsback, an area of the highway that travels over the narrow spine of a mesa with canyons on either side. There are so many amazing views and vistas along the way, we’ll be sure to make several photo stops to try and capture the beauty.  We'll stop at the famous Kiva Coffeehouse for lunch and enjoy the amazing vistas from their dining area. After checking into our hotel,  it’s time for a different experience as we explore Bryce on ATVs.  We’ll spend time enjoying the beauty of Bryce before returning to the hotel where you'll have the rest of the evening free. 

 

Day 7 - Overnight Bryce, TBD - B, D

After breakfast we’ll head into Bryce Canyon to enjoy another morning of hiking. We’ll hike the beautiful Queens Garden Trail before returning to the vehicle to drive the scenic drive, stopping at Inspiration Point to view the hoodoos.   After our morning hike and drive in Bryce Canyon we’ll stop for lunch before making our way to Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Here we’ll hike the amazing Willis Creek Slot Canyon trail.  Unlike many slot canyons, Willis Creek Narrows is mellow and easily accessible. We’ll be amazed by the narrow walls that grow up to over 100 feet above us as we make our way into the canyon. After a full day in the parks, we’ll return to the hotel to freshen up before meeting back up for dinner. 

 

Day 11 - B

Sadly it’s time to leave beautiful Utah. After breakfast and checking out, there will be two scheduled airport transfers. One to St. George Airport and one to Las Vegas airport. Please schedule your flight later in the day as it is a 2.5-3 hour drive to St George airport and a 4-5 hour drive to Las Vegas Airport.  If you need to stay an extra night in Las Vegas due to flight scheduling, we will be happy to book a hotel for you.
