Day 1  -  Overnight at the Marcus Whitman Hotel - D

Our time in Walla Walla will officially kick off as we spend the evening on the private sunset terrace of our hotel. Here we'll our Welcome Dinner, a 3-course dinner paired with wines from a local winery. We'll get the first introduction to Walla Walla wines as a representative from the winery pours their wines and explains their approach to wine making. It's sure to be a special evening.

Day 2  -  Overnight at the Marcus Whitman Hotel - B, L

Today we'll start exploring the vineyards of the Walla Walla AVA. We'll begin with a stop at College Cellars, a teaching winery located at the Walla Walla Institute for Enology and Viticulture  at Walla Walla Community College where the wines are produced by the student winemakers. It will be a fun experience exploring wines produced by the next generation of winemakers.  Next we'll move on to Aluvé where we'll enjoy some of the most spectactular view in Walla Walla. We'll enjoy a tasting led by founder, owner & winemaker - JJ Menozzi where we'll learn how they established their vineyards using dryland farming. After our tasting, we'll sit on their patio with the views and enjoy a picnic lunch where you may choose to order a glass of their wine. Our last stop of the day will be a visit to Abeja (Spanish for bee). Here we'll relax at their historic farmstead as we taste through some of their wines. After exploring this part of Walla Walla, we'll head back to the hotel where you'll have the rest of the evening to spend as you'd like.

Day 3 -   Overnight at the Marcus Whitman Hotel - B, L, D

Our first stop of the day will be at one of the downtown tasting rooms, Seven Hills. Located in the old woodmaking mill, they are among the founding estates of Walla Walla Valley and thus one of the oldest wineries in the region. We'll first enjoy a tour of this historic working winemaking facility before sitting down to enjoy their wines. Next we'll head to Eternal Winery, where their focus is on single vineyard Rhone varietals. Native fermentation, extended maceration, and non-intrusive wine-making techniques comprise their backbone. However, Eternal is more than just a winery. While they do produce their own single vineyard wines they also offer wine slushies, sangria, beer, cider, and cocktail cans. Here we'll enjoy a casual lunch from their taco truck where you may choose to switch things up with a wine slushie or a cider.  After our time at Eternal, you'll have the choice to stay and enjoy a tasting of their wines or perhaps you might decide to visit another local winery before we move on to our last group activity of the day (there will be several options within a short walk). Early evening we'll stop at Sleight of Hand Cellars where we'll sit down with the co-owner and winemakder to enjoy a private dinner paired with their wines. At Sleight of Hand, the owners are also music lovers, which you'll understand when you walk into their tasting room. We'll end the day enjoying great wine, food, music and company.

Day 4 -  B

After breakfast and checking out, for those whose flight time allows, we will visit one last winery before it’s time to head home. We'll make a stop at one of the downtown tasting rooms where we'll enjoy one last exploration of Walla Walla wines. We'll toast to our fun weekend and new friends made. You'll be transferred to the Walla Walla Airport according to your flight departure time.

Walla Walla has its own regional airport and is the most convenient option as far as distance from our accommodations and activities.

• Seattle SEA-TAC airport - 4.5 hours drive

• Spokane - 2.75 hours drive

• Tri-Cities airpot in Pasco, WA -  1 hour

• Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport in Lewiston, Idaho -  2 hours

• Yakima airport - 2 hours 15 minutes. 

• Portland airport- approximately 4.5 hours. 

An airport transer from Walla Walla Regional airport is included in the tour cost. Airport transfers from other airport can be included for an additional fee.
