 Day 1  - D

After checking into La Bastide B&B, our home for the next three nights, we will meet at 5:30 pm to enjoy a bubbly cocktail reception accompanied by cheese and crackers. Next we will walk the short distance to Hyland Estates winery where we will be treated to a private gourmet dinner prepared by a local chef. During each course we will have the opportunity to enjoy a different Hyland Estate wine picked out especially for us by the wine maker.     

Day 2  - B, L

After a leisurely breakfast at the B&B our driver will transfer us to Red Ridge Farms/Durant Vineyards where we will get to explore their vineyards in a unique way, by tractor pull. One of the owners himself will pull us along as he explains the different grape varietals, clones and vintages of their estate, tasting their wines along the say. We'll make a stop in their barrel room and have the opportunity to taste a few of the wines straight from the aging barrels. After our time on the tractor, we'll move on to a nearby winery where we will enjoy a private tasting at Left Coast Cellars followed by a pizza lunch. We'll meet the owners and hear about how their family got their start in the wine industry. After relaxing a bit we'll head to another local winery for our last visit of the day. The rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy as you like. 

Day 3 -  B, L, D        

Following breakfast, we will begin our day with a fun and informative wine class as Beatrice Keeler from Keeler Estates explains the methods and requirements of biodynamic farming while we taste their wines. Next, we will head to Mystic Wines, known for their robust reds. We'll start with a short tour of their vineyards, learning of the different types of soil and how the slope of the landscape effects the grapes.  Next we'll taste their wines and enjoy lunch while relaxing on their patio with gorgeous views over the valley. After lunch our driver will drop us off in the historic, quaint town of McMinnville. You'll have a couple of hours to explore before we head back to our B&B. We'll meet back up in the evening to have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4 -  B, L

After breakfast and checking out of our B&B we will head to Holloran Winery where we will finish our tour with a visit to this small winery. We'll taste their wine in their tasting room while enjoy the view over their vineyards. You will be free to enjoy the winery until it’s time for you to leave for the airport and catch your flight home. You should plan your flight to leave no earlier than 3:30 pm.

Airport Inforamtion:

La Bastide Bed & Breakfast is approximately one hour from the Portland International Airport. You are responsible for arranging and paying for your own flights to Portland, however, Two Dog Travel will be happy to help with the arrangements if you prefer. You may choose to rent a car for the weekend or Two Dog Travel will be happy to arrange an airport transfer for you (at a cost). We are also happy to match people up to share a car and split the cost of the rental.
