On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, our group will be met at the arrivals hall and be escorted to to our waiting shared charter flight to Bomani Tented Camp, a luxurious tented lodge situated in a private concession of the magnificent Ngamo Plains, on the edge of the remote and unspoilt south eastern corner of Hwange National Park. Bomani is famous for its unique scenery as well as its large herds of elephants and all other animals and birdlife resident in Hwange. After your long day of flying you'll have time to freshen up before dinner.
Day 2 - Overnight Bomani Tented Camp - B, L, D
Today we'll sleep in a bit before we enjoy breakfast at the lodge. We'll then head out to visit a local village and school in rural Matabeleland. We'll learn about the lives of the locals and get to meet and talk with them. After our visit we'll enjoy our first jeep safari in Hwange National Park. After our first full day we'll relax at the lodge before dinner.
Day 3 - Overnight Bomani Tented Camp - B, L, D
After breakfast we’ll depart for a full day of game drives. Hwange is elephant country and much of the game viewing relates to magnificent opportunities to view these, the world's largest land mammals. We're sure to have an amazing day in this beautiful area of Africa. After our game drive we'll head back to our tented camp where we'll have some free time before dinner.
OPTIONAL for a fee: Horsebackriding- The open grasslands and forest groves of the Ngamo Plains around Camelthorn and Bomani Lodges are among the most scenic areas of Hwange and this special scenery is ideal for horse-riding. If you're interested in seeing the area by horseback during free time or one of the safari times, please let Two Dog Travel know and we will set it up for you.
Day 4 - Overnight Victoria Falls Safari Club- B, L, D
After breakfast, we'll leave Bomani on a game drive to the Ngamo sidings, after which we’ll enjoy a unique type of safari on a train ride on the Elephant Express that will take us along the border of the park to Dete railway station. This is a fun way to see the park and travel toward Victora Falls. From Dete we’ll then transfer by road to Victoria Falls Safari Club, our home for the next few days. We’ll arrive early afternoon. On this first afternoon, we’ll enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, sipping delicious drinks on the luxurious Signature Deck as the sun goes down. After the cruise we’ll have dinner at the club's restaurant.

After our tour, we'll travel back to the lodge in time for a Vulture Culture lunch. This spectacle includes a delicious lunch at Makuwa-Kuwa Restaurant, during which meat is placed out for the local vulture population. With many rare-breeds in the area, this is an important source of food for the vultures, and you will get to see them feeding while learning a little bit more about one of the most important animals in the African ecosystem. After free time in the afternoon, we’ll have dinner at The Boma Restaurant. Here we'll put on the traditional colorful dress, enjoy a buffet dinner while watching a fun drumming display. You'll even get to try a bit of drumming yourself. It's sure to be a fun night that will be remembered forever.
